White Wines that Dignify Portugal

The white wine tasting at Aquapura Douro Valley, known today as Six Senses Douro Valley, confirms the promise of working together. The setting for a novel by Agustina Bessa-Luís que Manoel de Oliveira that was taken to the big-screen in 1993, Quinta Vale Adraão, situated along the Douro, was the stage used to present several new varieties of white wine from D'Uva producers in June 2013. The presentation was followed by a dinner with a menu prepared by chef Paulo Matos and his team. As Luís Costa noted in the magazine Essência do Vinho in July 2014, the event confirmed that “Portugal already has whites that dignify the nation's wine in any part of the world”.
