In coffee, as in life, Rita Nabeiro always liked to explore the universe of aromatic possibilities.
A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon, with a degree in design, Rita Nabeiro started her professional career in Italy and Portugal. She came to dedicate herself to the family business, starting in 2006, by marketing Delta Coffee.
In 2007, the Nabeiro group officially marked its foray into the world of winemaking with the founding of Adega Mayor, a modern architectural project and pioneer in the market, bearing the signature of the architect Siza Vieira.
Drawn to the project by her passion for the aromatic universes and sensations that products like wine and coffee evoke, Rita came to assume the role of marketing director for Adega Mayor, where she was responsible for the brand strategy of her family's wines. She deepened her knowledge of both winemaking and management through various trainings and travels.
In 2012, she became general director of Adega Mayor, a position which she still holds today. Possessing a creative spirit and a demanding entrepreneurial mindset, she is always working to make a contribution to the recognition and modernization of the image of Portuguese wine.
A lover of travel and culture, she divides her time between two of her favorite places: Lisbon and Campo Maior. In wine, as in life, she has fairly eclectic and diverse tastes. A lover of Portugal and its wealth of natural beauty, she is also an inquisitive experimentalist who likes to adapt wines to suit her mood and the occasion. For Rita, a striking wine must above all fit the context, the stories it contains, and the memories it evokes. In an incessant search to always do better, she longs to create unique wines of excellence, where man, nature, and social issues go hand in hand.
